黃尚為司隸。姦慝自弭。左雄為尚書令。天下慎選舉。

When Huang Shang was a law enforcement officer, all the bad people disappeared. When Zuo Xiong was the writer of court reports, the country was careful with the selection of officials.

東門奐。 取吳半。 吳不足。 濟陰續。

That Dong Men Huan, the mayor of Wu county, took half of the Wu county away. But that was not enough, since he took more from Ji Yin county when he was transferred there.

襄陽耆舊記

諸葛孔明為臥龍。 龐士元為鳳雛。 司馬德操為水鏡。Zhu Ge Kong Ming is like a dragon that is hidden from sight. Pang Shi Yuan is like a young pheonix; Si Ma De Cao is like a mirror in that he could see who is good and who is bad.

我家池裏。 龍種來歸。Words said by people of Xiang Yang about Pang Huan who was nephew of Zhu Ge Kong Ming, the hidden dragon. Pang had retired at his ancestral hometown Xiang Yang. The words said that "That descendant of the dragon has returned to our pond."
